You Might Be Wondering...
Do I need a partner to join a class?
No, you do not need a partner to join our group classes or solo private classes. For wedding choreo sessions, you do need your partner present.
What happens if I don’t make a class in a group session?
If you miss a class, we will do our best to get you caught up on what was covered during your absence. Every class starts with a review of the material covered in the previous class. Missed classes are non-refundable.
How do I know if I need level 1 or level 2?
If you are unsure which level to sign up for, feel free to check with us and we would be happy to give you a free evaluation. However, if you have never danced salsa before, a level1 class is likely the most appropriate for you.
Do you offer lessons outside of the studio?
Yes, we do. We are pleased to offer lessons at a client’s chosen location.
I’ve never taken dance lessons before, what should I know?
What you need to know before your first dance class will depend on the type of a class you will be taking. However, some basics tips would be:
• wear comfortable clothing that you feel good in;
• wear shoes with ankle support and non-stick soles;
• avoid over-thinking the dance steps; and
• have fun.
What will I learn in a private versus a group lessons?
The choice is a personal one. Group classes cater for the majority of participants, whereas private lessons cater to the individual or couple.
What should I wear to class?
It is best to wear comfortable clothing that you feel good in and shoes with ankle support and non-stick soles.
Once I have done a level 2 class, do I need more dance lessons?
Yes, there is so much more to learn after level 2, regardless of the descriptors used. We will happily offer a free examination class and recommend tailored advice afterwards.
What should I bring to class?
Water and a fun attitude.
